In this level students begin to prepare for their more formal training years in the study of the classical ballet technique. Intermediate Ballet prepares students progressively for more formal training while encouraging the development of a love for dance and a sense of personal artistry and accountability. The classical technique is viewed as a tool to free and not to confine the dancer. Classes are structured in a progressive curriculum that increases in difficulty throughout the year in preparation for the Pre-Professional Academy. Students begin work on more intermediate aspects of the classical technique, such as self-analyzation, strengthening of key muscle groups, increasing flexibility, understanding proper placement, and coordination/isolation of the limbs. Students of Intermediate Ballet are encouraged to be serious in their study while fully enjoying the class.

All students in the Primary Academy are placed according to their appropriate age as of August 1st, 2018. The age requirements described and structure of our program is used as a general guideline to the function of our program.
