The International City School of Ballet has built one of the Atlanta region’s most extensive and consistently documented records of major ballet competition achievement. For more than a decade, ICSB dancers have earned Grand Prix titles, international medals, first-place honors, Outstanding School recognition, and major teaching and coaching distinctions at leading competitions including Youth America Grand Prix, Prix de Lausanne, USA International Ballet Competition, ADC|IBC, Universal Ballet Competition, and World Ballet Competition.
Across its documented competition history, ICSB dancers and faculty have earned 55 First Place and Gold Medal wins, 11 Grand Prix Awards, 17 Outstanding Teaching and Choreography Awards, and 7 Outstanding School Awards. These results reflect sustained, rigorous training and long-term dancer development rather than a single exceptional season.
Competition recognition is one measure of the consistency and effectiveness of the training, not its ultimate objective. ICSB’s long-term focus is the development of technically secure, artistically mature dancers prepared for advanced and professional opportunities.
Independent Recognition
The International City School of Ballet has been recognized among the top 2% of U.S. ballet schools analyzed in peer-reviewed research published in Scientific Reports. ICSB has also received multiple Youth America Grand Prix Outstanding School Awards, while its faculty and dancers have earned Grand Prix titles, international medals, Outstanding Teacher and Outstanding Coach honors, and major placements at Youth America Grand Prix, ADC|IBC, Prix de Lausanne, USA International Ballet Competition and World Ballet Competition.
